Mark N. Sirangelo is currently the founder and CEO of QuanStar, LLC.  He was most recently was the head of Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Space Systems.  SNC’s Space Systems is one of the country’s top space builders having lead or participated in over 400 space missions, including over 50 planetary missions, and is the owner and builder of the next generation space shuttle, Dream Chaser, which will soon begin operations for NASA to the International Space Station.

Mr. Sirangelo is a founding member and now Chairman Emeritus of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, the commercial space sector’s leading trade group. He is the founder and Chairman of eSpace, the Center for Space Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit that supports the start-up and growth of entrepreneurial technology companies. Mr. Sirangelo has been recognized with numerous corporate and personal awards.  These include being inducted into the NASA/Space Foundation’s Technology Hall of Fame, being named Manufacturer Builder of the Year by ColoradoBiz magazine, The Best Place to Work by the Denver Business Journal, Inc. Magazine’s top 200 companies and the World’s Top 10 Innovative Space Companies by Fast Company.

Mr. Sirangelo has served as the Chief Innovation Officer of the State of Colorado, Chairman of the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN) and currently is the State’s appointee to the Colorado Energy Research Collaboratory.  He is on Colorado State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences AgIndustry Council and been working to make the world a safer place for children as a Board member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which has resolved over 100,000 missing children cases to date.

Mr. Sirangelo has a multi-faceted personal background including being a long-term licensed pilot and a successful creative artist.  He holds Bachelor of Science, MBA and Doctorate degrees and has served his country proudly as a U.S. Army officer.
